Bright Lights Cosmos Seeds 5150. A rich mixture of bright blooms in shades of warm rich yellow, orange, gold and red! Flowers average 5 cm (2"") in diameter. Pretty, dense, finely cut foliage grows to 75 cm (30"") high. While cosmos prefer full sun, they will still flower nicely in partial sun. Flowers start to appear in late spring and typically run continuously through to fall. The flowers also attract both butterflies and numerous pollinator species.
How to Grow
70 seed/gram. It is preferable to direct seed cosmos in the garden although one can start them inside if desired 4 weeks before planting out. Choose a sunny site with well drained soil and sow the seeds 0.25 cm (1/8"") deep in mid to late May. Thin to 30-40 cm (12-16"") apart when the seedlings are 5-8 cm (2-3"") tall.
