Nasturtium (Dwarf Jewel Mix) Jumbo Packet (7x5")
Dwarf Jewel Mixed Nasturtium Seeds 5780. Heirloom Flower. Annual.
Glorious masses of tropical looking flowers are produced well above the foliage on this non-trailing variety. To encourage continuous blooming, pick off faded and spent flowers. Semi-double flowers are produced in numerous combinations of red, yellow and orange. Plants grow to 30 cm (12″) high.
How to Grow
As nasturtiums resent transplanting, directly sow seed into well drained soil in late May 2.5 cm (1″) deep and 5 cm (2″) apart, thinning seedlings to 20 cm (8″) apart. Seed generally germinates within 12 days. Full sun is preferred. Partial shade is recommended in hot summer areas. Blooms have a peppery taste and are quite popular as a salad garnish. We recommend removing spent flowers to help lengthen the blooming period.
