'Polaris' Blueberry is a cold-hardy, early-season variety developed specifically for northern climates. A hybrid of lowbush and highbush blueberries, 'Polaris' produces medium-sized, sweet berries with a firm texture and intense flavor, ideal for fresh eating, baking, and preserves. This compact shrub also offers year-round ornamental value, with white spring flowers, attractive blue-green foliage, and brilliant red-orange fall color. ‘Polaris’ requires cross-pollination with another early-season variety (such as ‘Northblue’ or ‘Chippewa’) for best yields.
