Small Sugar Organic Pumpkin Seeds
Small Sugar Organic Pumpkin Seeds 4160. Heirloom Vegetable.
Approx. 15 seeds/pkt (10-12 seeds/gram)
This sugar pumpkin produces round fruits 20-25 cm (8-10″) in diameter that are sweet, bright orange in colour and full of meaty, fine grained flesh. Small Sugar is and has been, the best variety for pumpkin pies since its introduction in the late 1880’s! As an added bonus, this variety actually stores reasonably well so you don’t have to worry about using them all up at once.
How to Grow
Sow pumpkin seed directly into the garden after the soil has warmed sufficiently – this normally occurs from very late May through June. Make 4 separate 2.5 cm (1″) deep holes per hill and plant two seed in each hole – space hills about 2 m (6′) apart. Remove the smaller seedling from each pair after germination. Feed plants regularly with compost and dilute soluble fertilizer and keep the ground evenly watered for best growth.
