Jade – 4"

A timeless succulent houseplant prized for its thick, glossy green leaves and compact, tree-like growth. Jade (Crassula ovata) develops sturdy branching stems topped with clusters of plump, oval foliage, creating an attractive miniature-tree appearance as it matures. Naturally drought tolerant and easy to maintain, this classic succulent is an excellent choice for sunny windowsills, desks, shelves, and succulent collections.

Key Features

  • Thick, fleshy green leaves with an attractive glossy finish
  • Compact succulent that develops a distinctive branching, tree-like form with age
  • Drought-tolerant growth habit makes it an easy-care indoor plant
  • Slow-growing and long-lived when provided with proper care
  • Ideal for bright windowsills, desktops, shelves, and succulent displays

Plant Care Instructions

  • Light: Prefers very bright light and can benefit from several hours of gentle direct sunlight. Acclimate gradually to stronger sun to prevent leaf scorch.
  • Water: Allow the soil to dry thoroughly between waterings, then water deeply and let excess moisture drain away. Reduce watering during winter and never leave the plant sitting in water.
  • Soil: Use a fast-draining cactus or succulent potting mix. A container with drainage holes is strongly recommended.
  • Humidity: Average household humidity is suitable. Jade plants prefer relatively dry conditions and do not require misting.
  • Temperature: Grows well at approximately 18–24°C during active growth. Protect from frost, cold drafts, and prolonged temperatures below 10°C.
  • Fertilizer: Feed lightly every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a diluted cactus, succulent, or balanced houseplant fertilizer. Reduce or stop feeding during winter.
  • Maintenance: Rotate the plant periodically for balanced growth and wipe dusty leaves gently when needed. Avoid frequent watering, as excess moisture is a common cause of root problems.
  • Pruning: Trim leggy or overgrown stems during spring or summer to encourage a fuller, more branched shape. Use clean, sharp pruning tools.
  • Repotting: Repot every 2–3 years or when the plant becomes root-bound. Choose a sturdy container only slightly larger than the existing pot and use fresh, well-draining succulent soil.

Note: Plant size, fullness, branching, foliage color, and overall appearance may vary naturally from the product image. Decorative pot design may also vary. Most plants are supplied in a one-time-use plastic grower pot.
