Plant Care Instructions

• Light: Prefers bright, indirect light but tolerates medium indirect light. Avoid strong direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves and fade their distinctive patterns.
• Water: Keep the soil consistently and lightly moist, allowing the top 1–2 cm to dry slightly before watering again. Avoid both prolonged dryness and waterlogged soil.
• Soil: Use a rich, moisture-retentive but well-draining indoor potting mix. Adding perlite or fine orchid bark can improve drainage and aeration.
• Humidity: Thrives in moderate to high humidity. A humidifier can be especially helpful in dry indoor environments and may reduce crispy or browning leaf edges.
• Temperature: Prefers warm conditions between approximately 18–27°C. Protect from cold drafts, heating vents, and temperatures below approximately 15°C.
• Fertilizer: Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced houseplant fertilizer diluted to reduced strength. Reduce feeding during winter.
• Maintenance: Remove yellow or damaged leaves and gently wipe foliage when dusty. Marantas can be sensitive to minerals in tap water, so filtered, distilled, or rainwater may help prevent brown leaf tips.
• Pruning: Trim long or sparse stems as needed to encourage branching and maintain a dense, attractive shape.
• Repotting: Repot every 1–2 years or when roots become crowded. Choose a container only slightly larger than the current pot and ensure good drainage.
