How to Grow OSC Wildflower Seed Mixture

When to Sow:

  • Spring: Early May to mid-June.
  • Fall: Mid-September to late October for natural winter stratification.
  • Early Spring Option: Late March to early April for cold-stratification effect.

Site Preparation:

  1. Remove weeds manually or use an organic non-selective herbicide.
  2. Loosen top 2.5 cm of soil with rake, hoe, or cultivator.
  3. Ensure soil is loose and well-drained—not compacted.

Sowing Instructions:

  • Broadcast seeds evenly across prepared soil.
  • Mix with dry sand for more even distribution if needed.
  • Let rain, snow, or frost work seeds into soil naturally.
  • Water as needed through first growing season.

Larger Area Application Rate:

  • 125 g per 90 m² or 9.5 kg per hectare.
