Plant Care Instructions

• Light: Prefers very bright, indirect light and can tolerate some gentle direct sun. Adequate light is important for maintaining vibrant foliage coloration.
• Water: Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil begins to dry. Keep the soil moderately moist during active growth without allowing it to remain soggy or waterlogged.
• Soil: Use a fertile, well-draining indoor potting mix that retains some moisture while allowing excess water to drain freely.
• Humidity: Appreciates moderate to high humidity. A humidifier or naturally humid location can help maintain healthy foliage, particularly in dry indoor environments.
• Temperature: Thrives at approximately 18–29°C. Protect from cold drafts, sudden temperature changes, and prolonged temperatures below 15°C.
• Fertilizer: Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer diluted according to label directions. Reduce feeding during slower winter growth.
• Maintenance: Wipe the glossy leaves periodically with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and showcase their vibrant colors. Avoid frequently relocating the plant, as Crotons prefer stable growing conditions.
• Pruning: Pinch or trim growing tips to encourage a fuller, bushier shape. Remove damaged, yellowing, or declining leaves with clean tools.
• Repotting: Repot every 1–2 years or when roots become crowded, using a slightly larger container with adequate drainage.
