Plant Care Instructions

• Light: Prefers very bright, indirect light and can benefit from some gentle direct sunlight. Strong light helps maintain the vivid multi-colored foliage, while insufficient light may result in greener leaves.
• Water: Water when the top 2–4 cm of soil begins to dry. Keep the soil moderately moist during active growth but never soggy, allowing excess water to drain completely.
• Soil: Use a fertile, well-draining indoor potting mix that retains some moisture while allowing excess water to drain freely.
• Humidity: Appreciates moderate to high humidity. Consistent humidity helps maintain healthy foliage and reduces the risk of dry leaf edges.
• Temperature: Thrives at approximately 18–29°C. Protect from cold drafts, sudden temperature changes, and prolonged temperatures below 15°C.
• Fertilizer: Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer according to label directions. Reduce feeding during periods of slower growth.
• Maintenance: Wipe foliage gently when dusty and rotate the plant periodically for balanced light exposure. Crotons prefer stable conditions, so avoid frequent relocation or abrupt environmental changes.
• Pruning: Trim long or uneven stems to maintain a compact, bushy shape and encourage branching. Remove damaged or declining leaves with clean tools.
