Plant Care Instructions

• Light: Prefers bright to medium, indirect light. It tolerates lower light but should be protected from prolonged direct sunlight, which can scorch the foliage.
• Water: If grown in water, keep the roots consistently submerged and refresh the water regularly. If grown in soil, keep it lightly moist but never waterlogged. Filtered or distilled water may help prevent leaf-tip browning in areas with heavily treated tap water.
• Soil: When soil-grown, use a loose, well-draining indoor potting mix. Lucky Bamboo can also be maintained hydroponically in clean water with pebbles or another suitable support.
• Humidity: Adapts to average household humidity but appreciates moderate humidity and good air circulation.
• Temperature: Prefers warm indoor conditions around 18–29°C. Protect from cold drafts, heating vents, and prolonged temperatures below approximately 13°C.
• Fertilizer: Feed very lightly during spring and summer. Soil-grown plants can receive a diluted balanced houseplant fertilizer, while water-grown plants should receive only a fertilizer specifically suitable for hydroponic Lucky Bamboo and applied sparingly.
• Maintenance: Keep the container and water clean, remove yellowing leaves promptly, and rotate the arrangement occasionally to encourage balanced foliage growth.
• Pruning: Trim overly long leafy shoots just above a node to maintain the desired shape. Avoid cutting the main decorative canes unless intentionally propagating or reshaping the plant.
• Repotting: Repot or move to a larger container when roots become crowded. Water-grown arrangements may simply require a larger vessel as the root system develops.
