Plant Care Instructions

• Light: Prefers medium to bright, indirect light but tolerates lower-light conditions. Avoid intense direct sunlight, which can scorch the delicate fronds.
• Water: Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry. Keep the soil moderately moist but never soggy, and allow excess water to drain completely.
• Soil: Use a rich, well-draining indoor potting mix that retains some moisture while allowing good airflow around the roots.
• Humidity: Average household humidity is generally suitable, although moderate to higher humidity encourages lush foliage and can help reduce dry leaf tips.
• Temperature: Thrives between approximately 18–27°C. Protect from cold drafts, heating vents, and prolonged temperatures below approximately 13°C.
• Fertilizer: Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced houseplant fertilizer diluted to reduced strength. Reduce feeding during fall and winter.
• Maintenance: Gently wipe or rinse foliage when dusty and rotate the plant periodically for balanced growth. Trim brown leaf tips if desired while following the natural shape of the frond.
• Pruning: Remove completely yellow, brown, or damaged fronds near the base using clean pruning shears. Avoid cutting healthy green growth unnecessarily.
• Repotting: Repot every 2–3 years or when the plant becomes root-bound. Parlor Palms prefer being slightly snug in their containers, so increase the pot size gradually.
