Tillandsia Antonio – 6"

A vibrant tropical bromeliad admired for its slender, arching green foliage and spectacular pink flower spike. Tillandsia Antonio creates an eye-catching display as its vivid pink bracts rise above the graceful leaves, often producing delicate purple-blue flowers for an additional burst of color. Its sculptural form and exotic appearance make it an attractive statement plant for desks, shelves, countertops, and bright indoor spaces.

Key Features

  • Striking bright pink flower spike that provides long-lasting ornamental color
  • Slender, arching green foliage creates an elegant tropical silhouette
  • May produce small purple-blue flowers from its colorful pink bracts
  • Compact growth habit well suited to tabletops, desks, shelves, and countertops
  • Distinctive bromeliad that adds tropical color and architectural interest indoors

Plant Care Instructions

  • Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. A little gentle morning sun is beneficial, but avoid intense direct afternoon sunlight that may scorch the foliage.
  • Water: Keep the potting medium lightly moist but never soggy. Water when the upper layer begins to dry, and avoid allowing excess water to remain around the roots.
  • Soil: Grow in a loose, airy, well-draining bromeliad or orchid-style potting mix that provides excellent drainage and root aeration.
  • Humidity: Appreciates moderate to high humidity with good air circulation. Light misting can be beneficial in particularly dry indoor environments.
  • Temperature: Thrives in warm indoor conditions between approximately 18–27°C. Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 13°C.
  • Fertilizer: Feed lightly every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer using a diluted bromeliad or balanced houseplant fertilizer.
  • Maintenance: Keep foliage clean and remove dry or damaged leaves as needed. Ensure good airflow around the plant to discourage excess moisture buildup.
  • Pruning: Once the flower spike has completely faded, trim it near the base with clean scissors. The mature plant may gradually produce offsets, or pups, around its base.
  • Repotting: Repot only when necessary, typically every 1–2 years or when the potting medium has deteriorated. Tillandsia Antonio generally prefers a relatively snug container.

Note: Plant size, fullness, foliage, and bloom color or stage may vary naturally from the product image. Decorative pot design may also vary. Most plants are supplied in a one-time-use plastic grower pot.
